How well can Natural Laundry Detergent really clean?

They say not to air your dirty laundry, but when you make natural laundry soap perhaps we can make an exception?

Oh yeah! That’s my dirt.  Now before you go judging me for my incomparably dirty laundry, let me just say that I had a good reason…

Why we need Natural Laundry Detergent

See those adorable little babies? Yup, they’re my reason. They got stuck trying to come into this world. I mean more than just a little stuck-they got STUCK!  I managed to save a pile of adorable piggies but my jeans… well, yeah, lets get a close up of that again…

Ugh! If you think it looks bad just be glad that smells don’t transmit over the internet. It was RANCID. I should have tossed them right? After all, some smells just don’t come out right?

However, I’ve often been asked how well my laundry soap works and I’ve listened to many people tell me they are afraid to try another natural laundry soap as the last one they tried “just didn’t clean.”

I decided this was the perfect opportunity to put our Goat Milk Laundry Soap to the test. I loaded the jeans in the washer, added 2 tablespoons of Free Reign Farm’s  Goat Milk Laundry Soap . For this particular specimen, I knew I had an abundance of  oil  ground into the jeans so I added 1/2 cup of vinegar to the wash to aid in cutting the grease stains. I then held my nose, slammed the lid and walked (ok ran) away. No pre-soak, no bleach, no stain remover, that’s it.

What I came back to was:

The best part? There’s absolutely NO smell to them what so ever! The laundry soap is unscented and it actually removed ALL the stench without having to mask it. So there you have it, a pile full of adorable piggies and a pair of jeans that don’t look any worse for wear!  Pretty impressive for 2 tablespoons of laundry soap and 1/2 cup of vinegar.
