Old Fashioned Remedy Tea

Taste: Lemon balm has a subtle aroma of cirus that makes it useful as a strewing herb to freshen rooms.  It is also valuable as a plant that is known to attract bees.

History: Steeped as a tea, the colonials sipped lemon balm for its uplifting effects.  In their words… “balme makes the heart merry and joyfull, and strengtheneth vital spirits…it drives away the care of the minde.”

Brewing Tips:

  • 1 teabag, 1 cup 205 degree water.
  • Steep for 7-10 minutes
  • Sweeten with honey.
