Shampoo Bar
Goat Milk Soap

Looking for a goat milk soap designed to give an exceptional lather, extra conditioning properties, and still be safe for colored hair? This special goat milk shampoo bar is just what you have been looking for. The castor oil in this natural shampoo bar will add a beautiful conditioning shine to your hair. Goat milk is known for it’s moisturizing properties – just imagine what it could do for dry hair, split ends, etc.

Our experience with goat milk soap as a shampoo bar started as an effort to eliminate toxins from our household. We were delighted when a trip to the salon after 3 months of using goat milk shampoo revealed softer hair, healthier scalp, and fewer split ends.  The beautician even asked us what in the world we had been using on our hair.  The difference? Goat Milk Soap.

A note on shampoo bars. If you are not familiar with shampoo bars we encourage you to read up on using them as there are some differences. Also, in our experience this soap works best for normal to dry hair types. We have yet to find a solution we like for oily hair types.

whyDid you know that most shampoos are FILLED with toxins and chemicals? Just check the ingredient panel. They also have a major impact on the environment. Several articles affirm that waste water plants simply can’t remove all those chemicals from the water supply and some of it leaches into the environment. There is also a massive build up of plastics (which all shampoos use) in the oceans and water ways. Our Goat Milk Shampoo bar offers a great alternative to commercial shampoos. The additions of castor oil, and goat milk make for a moisturizing bar that leaves dry and normal hair types smooth and healthy.  However, shampoo bars are not for everyone and there can be an adjustment period. There are some great resources to help you decide what might work best for you!

Ingredients: Goat Milk, Saponified Lard, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil.

Use and Care: Wet bar and work into lather. Apply lather to hair liberally, working into scalp. Rinse thoroughly and condition as desired! Place bar on rack between uses to allow to dry.

Allergy Warning: Dogs with skin allergies should test the soap on a small spot of skin first and stop using if irritation occurs.

Please Note that due to the nature of our goat milk soap shampoo bar being all hand processed there will be natural variations in size, shape, and color from batch to batch and even within batches. We think it adds character, goodness knows there were a lot of “characters” who had a hand in making it – just ask Ethel the goat!
